Taharra Morris-Reid

            I have been in love with horses since I was a toddler. We had cowponies in the backyard. Every chance I got, I was in the corral and under their feet. I started riding lessons at 8 years old and one year later took a lesson with an Eventing rider and trainer and never looked back.

            I met my best friend and partner "Scotty" in 1996 and spent the next 10 years traveling all over the western United States competing up to Intermediate Level Horse Trials until he passed in the spring of 2006. In my riding career, I have been on lots of horses. I have worked with the difficult, the very young, as well as the good, and along the way developed a deep connection and understanding of their minds and attitudes. It is a privilege to have learned from so many different types of mounts. I have also groomed for 3-Day Eventers, been a working student for many summers, was in Pony Club to B level, ridden in clinics with Capt. Mark Phillips, Ian Stark, Jimmy Wofford and ridden in the UK with  Bertie Hills' son Tony at Rapscott and Christopher Bartle at Yorkshire Riding Academy.

            After taking time off to finish college and start a family, I returned to riding. I am passionate about Eventing, but am focusing  more on Dressage. I  found myself fascinated and eager to learn more under saddle; which  has led me to Sue. I have just recently joined Limelite Dressage as a working student and am excited to focus on building a stronger classical dressage seat and developing an upper level skill set.
